Derek Stevens is of counsel in the firm's Finance practice. He focuses his
practice on mortgage-backed securities and mortgage loan servicing. Prior to
joining the firm, he was an associate at the New York City and Charlotte
offices of other law firms. He has experience representing lending institutions and
their affiliates in connection with the securitization of mortgage loans and other
assets in a variety of transactions, including representing depositors,
underwriters, placement agents and servicers in securitization transactions.
