Advised the owner of a major US$12 billion LNG liquefaction plant in western Africa (being a
consortium of an NOC and several oil majors) on various aspects of the project, including the
construction, testing, and commissioning of the facility; plant modifications; and disputes
under the onshore and offshore EPC contracts.
Advised a state-owned electric power industry on LNG purchases for its LNG/gas to power
projects. The LNG will be delivered to our client’s LNG receiving terminals in Taichung and
Hsieh-Ho, where an FSRU will be used for the latter pending development of the onshore LNG
receiving terminal.
Advised an NOC on an FSRU project, including legal, commercial, and operational issues.
Advised a high-profile European energy company on a series of pricing and price review issues
under a long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement. The price review arbitrations led to
favorable adjustments.
Acted as in-house LNG trading counsel for an NOC. Advised the commercial team and drafted and
negotiated LNG MSAs, LNG confirmations, and LNG time charterparties.
Advised a Danish multinational power company on the divestment to an Anglo-Swiss multinational
commodity trading and mining company of its LNG trading business and associated European
regasification capacity at the Gate LNG terminal in Rotterdam.
Advised a Southeast Asian natural gas transportation and distribution company on its proposed
equity investment into the US$1 billion LNG receiving terminal project in Batangas, Philippines.
Advised a Chinese state-owned company on its contractual arrangements for the trading of LNG
from various suppliers, including Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (for supply of LNG
from Sakhalin, Russia), PetroChina International Company Limited, Qatargas Operating Company
Limited (for supply of LNG from Qatar), Total Gas & Power Asia Private Limited, and Petronas.
Represented a private US-based company for its lump-sum, turn-key LNG project in Massachusetts,
including developing the full suite of contract documents and serving as lead counsel in the
contract negotiations for the engineering, procurement, and construction of the LNG facility.
Advised an LNG export terminal developer on long-term LNG tolling agreements.
Advised an LNG terminal operator on marine operations, including regulatory compliance and
contractual arrangements, such as tug services.
Advised an NOC on LNG time charterparties for spot LNG deliveries, as well as a suite of LNG
ships for a long term-commitment.
Advised a shipping company on a long-term LNG bunkering supply agreement.
