REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Household Goods
Advised a producer of programmable, self-learning, sensor-driven, Wi-Fi-enabled thermostats,
smoke detectors, and other video cameras on the design and implementation of its distribution,
online, and retail pricing strategies in North America.
Served as lead counsel for a vacuum manufacturer in litigation before the Delaware Superior
Court. Argued motion for judgment on the pleadings, which established coverage for defense of
false advertising claims and attendant patent infringement claims under commercial general
liability insurance policies.
Served as counsel to a manufacturer of home devices and appliances for the design and
implementation of a global distribution and pricing strategy. Managed the client's global
trademark portfolio, including clearing and prosecuting more than 2000 marks in 56 countries.
Handled all prosecution and enforcement activity, ranging from cease and desist work,
anti-counterfeiting, global domain monitoring and take down to distributor program, new product
launches, and branding campaigns.
Assisted a manufacturer of hygiene, health, and nutrition products with an annual review and
update of affirmative action programs for a previously established federal contractor with more
than 40 separate locations across the United States.

general insurance advice. Provided strategic advice to maximize insurance recoveries on claims
that, in total, could involve millions of US dollars of loss and liability.

transactions involving large real estate portfolios. Built out client-facing collaboration and
project management sites with customizable, scalable options and templates.
Assisted a vacuum and cleaning retailer with Petitions to Cancel based upon non-use against two
federal trademark registrations. Research indicated non-use of the registered goods at issue
created an initial likelihood of confusion with the pending marks and goods of our client's
federal applications. The representation resulted in successful settlement and deletion of
relevant registered goods to enable approval of client's trademark registrations.
Prepared a Coexistence and Settlement Agreement between a consumer product client and a third
party. Successfully leveraged a Petition to Cancel to remove portions of the third party's
identification to enable the federal trademarks to harmoniously coexist.

prestigious new office development in Central London.

reporting.
Served as co-counsel to a designer and manufacturer of innovative food and beverage containers
in a putative class action before the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
The action was comprised of four consolidated lawsuits. Plaintiffs alleged our client failed to
disclose the presence of lead in a tumbler's vacuum seal and hoped to represent a nationwide
class of consumers, in addition to Washington, California, New York, and Nevada subclasses.
Plaintiffs sought more than US$1 billion in alleged compensatory, statutory, and treble damages
on behalf of the putative class.
Advised a world leader in kitchen appliances on managing responses to regulations affecting
emerging contaminants at the federal, state, and local levels.
