Lauren Flynn is a government affairs advisor and a member of the Public Policy and
Law practice group. She provides strategic advice to clients navigating complex
legislative and regulatory issues across the tax, tax-exempt, retirement, financial
services, and employee benefits spaces. Her clients include non-profit entities,
Fortune 500 companies, and trade/member associations, among others.
Lauren is a trusted advisor to clients, developing and implementing policy strategies
consistent with the mission of their organizations. She helps clients navigate the
legislative process, from developing legislative concepts, to building policymaker
support, to final passage. Lauren helps distill complex issues for a broad audience,
from drafting comment letters to regulatory agencies to correspondence with
government agencies, and crafting one-pagers and other briefing materials. She also
manages multifaceted outreach campaigns. Lauren works to ensure clients receive
seamless support and actionable insights through comprehensive monitoring and
analysis. Lauren also manages a variety of stakeholder coalitions.
Prior to joining the firm, Lauren worked for a senior member of the US House of
Representatives as a legislative assistant and legislative correspondent. During
this time, she advised the congressman on a variety of issue areas and
developed a deep understanding of congressional rules and procedure.
Lauren earned her Master of Public Policy degree with an emphasis in national
security and public policy from George Mason University, and was inducted into Pi
Alpha Alpha, the Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. She
earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Notre
Dame.
