Prior to joining the firm, Liz served as in-house counsel for a top-rated university
in California where she focused her practice on advising internal university clients
on a wide range of matters in student affairs, faculty affairs, employment law,
healthcare, intellectual property, and privacy. Liz also previously served as a
litigator at an international law firm working on appellate, securities, antitrust
and intellectual property matters. She also maintained an active pro bono practice,
advising an international medical non-profit on trademark matters and working on
multiple habeas corpus petitions, including one that resulted in the release of her
client from prison after almost 20 years.
Prior to law school, Liz worked for The Associated Press as a reporter and editor,
covering politics, immigration, and the NBA.
