Amanda Cashman is counsel in the firm's Pittsburgh office. She currently focuses
her practice on commercial and energy litigation, internal investigations, and
government enforcement actions. Amanda’s experience includes oil and natural
gas civil and administrative litigation involving disputes related to lease terms,
the calculation of royalties, surface-use disputes, and contamination allegations,
as well as the representation of clients in crisis management situations. She also
represents oil and natural gas clients in matters related to land use and local
regulation. Amanda's commercial litigation practice also includes the
representation of clients' interests in breach of contract, class action, and
insurance coverage issues. Amanda has also represented healthcare providers in
disputes with insurers related to the application of reimbursement rates and federal
sequestration laws.
Amanda's government enforcement practice encompasses a variety of enforcement
actions by federal and state agencies involving the False Claims Act, securities
laws, allegations of mail and wire fraud, and environmental violations. Amanda has
coordinated and conducted internal and special committee investigations regarding a
wide variety of sensitive allegations. Amanda works actively with her clients
to develop and implement cost-effective strategies to respond to enforcement
allegations and investigation needs while recognizing and mitigating risks.
