Emiko Morisato is a member of the firm’s Corporate practice, with experience
spanning corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, employment, and
dispute resolution for both domestic and international clients. She has gained
experience through corporate secondment, engaging in critical projects from the
initial stages and providing practical legal advice. She has extensive experience
advising cross-border transactions, including contract negotiations, structuring,
corporate reorganizations, and regulatory matters.
Her practice covers a broad range of matters, including corporate governance,
restructuring and insolvency, commercial and employment disputes, and compliance
investigations. Emiko also advises on labor and workplace issues, such as employment
matters in business transactions, internal and employment investigations, wage and
hour compliance, and workplace safety. In addition, she counsels clients on data
protection, privacy and cybersecurity, as well as financial services policy and
public policy matters impacting corporate operations.
