Jeffrey Richter is an associate whose practice combines cross-border transactions and
dispute resolution. He advises clients on M&A, joint ventures, supply and
distribution arrangements, and various commercial transactions. He also represents
and counsels clients in all phases of dispute resolution and dispute avoidance, with
a focus on disputes involving commercial litigation, class action defense, and
international arbitration.
Jeffrey has represented clients across a variety of industries, including
manufacturing, aerospace, energy, entertainment, and life sciences. He has also
engaged in substantial pro bono work on behalf of major animal rights organizations
and indigent individuals.
Before moving to Tokyo, Jeffrey spent several years as an associate in the firm's
Pittsburgh office. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial law clerk to a
US federal district court judge.
