Marty Folliard is an associate and advises healthcare providers and health
technology clients on regulatory and compliance matters, including privacy and
security, digital health, fraud and abuse, licensure, clinical research, and
commercial contracting. He represents a broad spectrum of clients within the
healthcare ecosystem, including hospitals and health systems, academic medical
centers, pharmacies, physician practices, clinical laboratories, telehealth
companies, and medical device manufacturers. Marty has extensive experience
assisting clients with HIPAA compliance initiatives, including the development of
policies and procedures, structuring and negotiating health data sharing and data
protection agreements, and managing data breach response efforts. Marty also assists
clients with navigating complex federal and state requirements related to digital
health, including corporate practice of medicine (CPOM) restrictions, electronic
prescribing of controlled and non-controlled substances, and reimbursement.
