René Wölfer is a counsel and notary in the firm´s Real Estate practice. He advises on real estate transactions and project developments as well as ongoing legal asset management, including drafting of lease agreements and litigation. He also has experience in matters relating to land law and heritable building rights. His clients include German and international investors, real estate owners, asset managers, and project developers.

As a notary, René covers the entire spectrum of notarial activities with a focus on real estate and corporate law.

René joined K&L Gates in 2013. Prior to that, he worked as a research assistant at the Philipps University of Marburg from 2007 to 2012 at a civil law chair. During his legal clerkship from 2005 to 2007 in Marburg, Frankfurt am Main and Vienna, he worked in renowned German and Austrian commercial law firms. He studied at the Philipps University of Marburg and the University of Kent in Canterbury (England). 

René was admitted to the bar in Berlin in 2013 and was appointed notary with his official seat in Berlin in September 2023.
