Yesi Lagunas is an associate in the firm’s Labor, Employment, and
Workplace Safety practice. She represents management in employment litigation
matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, and
wrongful termination claims. Additionally, Yesi defends employers in single
plaintiff and class wage and hour litigation, including Private Attorneys General
Act (PAGA).
Yesi defends employers before state, federal, and appellate courts, the California
Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission. Yesi also provides advice and counsel to a diverse range of industries
including finance, hospitality, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, retail,
and tech.
As part of her practice, Yesi has experience in supporting clients through various
phases of threatened litigation, litigation, and settlement. Yesi’s clients
lean on her for support in workplace investigation, employee discipline, leaves of
absences, and separation of employment.
Prior to practicing law, Yesi worked in retail, marketing, and the dental industry,
which provided her an insight into the challenges employers face. Through this lens,
Yesi works closely with employers to draft policies that comply with
California’s ever-changing laws and align with their respective fields.
